Dec 18,  · Melting with emotional atmosphere, the Mark-Almond band [Johnny Almond and Jon Mark] remain nearly unknown legends from the early 70’s delivering a quivering and honest presentation that’s not rock, not quiet jazz, not quite blues, or even that folky Renaissance blend of mystery meets reality, creating a blueprint that to this day belongs to them and them alone/5().

Dec 08,  · The fates finally demand that I purchase some Mark-Almond band albums on CD pickings are quite slim domestically (USA), but it looks like the first album (the one I really want) plus tracks from later albums is available readily in the UK on the Body Heat label.

The album was released in an embossed envelope-type jacket, as was the follow-up, MARK-ALMOND II. Both albums were released in as a 2CD set on Germany's Line Records, who later released both separately, of questionable legality. The second album was also reissued as a pricey Japanese import as well, but sorry to say only in a jewel-case 5/5(6).
